GETTING THERE
ADDRESS: 270 Veranda Street, Portland, ME
Take a direct flight to Portland.
Fly to Boston Logan or take the train to Boston and travel to Portland (roughly two hours by car). The Concord Coach is a great option, connecting each terminal at Logan directly to Portland with zero stops! The Airbnb is a 7-minute drive from the bus/train station.
What to expect…
On Friday afternoon/evening you’ll arrive at our Airbnb for a casual, cozy pizza party. We’ll mix, mingle, and get settled in the space.
(Important note: the Airbnb sleeps 14 guests across 10 beds and 6 bedrooms. We’ll be capping the retreat at 10 to allow for a bit of extra wiggle room while still maximizing participation and minimizing cost! Room sharing will be necessary. This wasn’t an issue at our 2023 retreat and I don’t anticipate any issues this time around.)
We’ll kick off Saturday morning with a breakfast book club and some virtual author/guest events (more details to come!). From there, we’ll make the short trip into the heart of Portland to explore independent bookstores and other sights.
Saturday night, we’ll have a group dinner at a Portland restaurant before returning to the Airbnb for cozy hangs and reading (duh).
Sunday morning, we’ll have breakfast and depart!

A payment plan is available for overnight guests! If you’re interested in this option, $200 will be due at the time of registration. The remaining $200 will be due by September 15.
Are you local? Do you want to join us for the day on Saturday and/or drop in on Friday and Sunday? That’s also AMAZING. For $125, you’ll be in for everything but the two nights at the Airbnb. Daytime guests will need to confirm and pay for their spot by September 15.
